Want free web space storage ? how about 1TB ?

September 07, 08 by Gabi Solomon

No that is not a mistype or a scam i am pulling, this is for real.

How many times did you need a place to put your content, your files someplace online so you could share it with other people ? Did you find a service that offers it for free ? Well i did but they usually offer like a couple of gigs, and not 1TB.

The service i found via chris pirillo is oosah.com

Oosah is a Web-based digital media content hosting and management system. Oosah provides individuals and businesses with an all-in-one service for uploading, hosting, managing and sharing their digital media assets. Members can also use Oosah to create new media assets in the form of multimedia presentations that we call “oosahs.”

First, Oosah is very intuitive and easy to use. Oosah features are accessed using the same drag-and-drop, and keyboard commands that you are familiar with from desktop applications.

Second, Oosah gives you a full Web-based File Manager. The Oosah File Manager gives you the ability to organize your content better than any other Web 2.0 content hosting site.

Third we give you more sharing options than any other site. Not only can you share content by emailing, or by linking/embedding in other sites, but you can also podcast your content, or you can download it and burn it to CD/DVD for off-line distribution.

We even let you print your photos at full resolution on your local printer. There are other features unique to Oosah as well, which you will find as you use it, and more are coming.

Not only this but the service can connect to other websites such as youtube, flickr, picasa and facebook to herlp you manage your content.

They even have a desktop application for gamers that instantly uploads screenshoots to your oosah account, by just pressing the print screen key, pretty coool.

Combine all of that with 1TB of storage … and you have a winner :D

How to make money online

August 04, 08 by Gabi Solomon

Sorry for those of you that got hear thinking you will get a great scheme on how to make easy / no work money online, this is how to make money working :D .

This article is for people who are Programmers, designers or editors.
Some companies want to subcontract some of there work to other smaller companies, process called outsourcing.
But instead of doing to a different company’s instead of outsourcing works to a company , plan to outsource the work directly to programmers like you using specialized websites that act like a market place for company’s and freelancers .

There are a lot of such websites out there, but a few have managed to climb and stay in the Top 5. I will try and do a small review of them. As a note this is my personal top 5, not an official one.

1. Odesk

The On Demand Global Workforce - oDesk
This is one of may favorite freelancing websites, and it got good reviews from a lot of websites and magazines. It is very popular because it has some build in features that are not found on other websites like:
- hourly payd jobs ( that are guaranted );
- desktop client that tracks hours worked for hourly projects
- free professional test for providers to show theyr skills
and much more

You can see a more detailed tour of odesk here.

2. getafreelancer.com

Get custom programming done at GetAFreelancer.com!

A very well famous website, which is very nice because you will get many projects to choose from. It suports escrow payments wich is nice to limit your “do the job, not get payed” situations, and has a few payment methods such as GetAFreelancer.com Debit card, PayPal, Moneybookers.com, E-Gold, Wired Transfer.

3. eufreelance.com

Earn Money with EUFreelance.com!

This is the same company as getafreelancer.com but its intead for europe because the currency you get payed is euros wich is nice especially for me because in my country the dollar has sunk to quite a low rate.

4. rentacoder.com

Yet another famous website, RAC features literally thousands of open projects, available in fields ranging from Data Entry to Writing to Web Design to Programming. RentACoder is probably one of the best freelance web site around, so be sure to sign up here.

5. scriptlance.com

Find freelance programmers at ScriptLance.com - Search worldwide

This a new websites i signed on for, havent really tested it out. ScriptLance is a project web site in which freelancers can bid on projects and then complete them and get paid. This site isn’t quite as
reliable as RentACoder, as funds aren’t always escrowed like on RAC, but it is still a site worth checking out. Project fees are usually $5, which is very cheap.

That is it about making money online and freelancin, hope you enjoyed it.

I know some of you might not like these these websites, because of the low quotes that are found there, but i believe they have there purpose, and by making some projects on this website you can potentially find some contractors that will give you constant flow of projects in the future and you will build your online reputation in the process as well.

I might be wrong, but this is my perspective on freelancing websites.
Cheers.

How Do You Find Music Online ?

July 17, 08 by Gabi Solomon

I dont know about you but i have a lot of times when i hear about a new song, or i just remember an old song and i want to listen to it. I dont want to go and buy it … i just want to listen to it once or twice maybe.

You could go to some stores and listen to some samples, but that really stinks. Or you could go on google or youtube and search it, but that usualy takes some time.

Well i found a solution that really does the trick for me. Its called GrooveShark Lite and its a music library that allows you to listen to music, full songs, in theyr flash web application.

For me this is not “lite” its pretty awesome, they have a verry large music colection, and i mean verry large, i was abble to find almost all i searched for with the small exceptions of some romanian songs, but even then i did not get the song i wanted, but the artist was there with some of his songs and that for romanian artists is something, trust me.

You can even register and save your own playlist, it loads pretty quiqly, overall i really recomend this site to anybody.

As a note you can use TinySong.com and type any song name you want and it will give you a link to that song on GrooveShark Lite, wich you can place on your website or maybe share it with some friends by email, IM or whatever.

hope you like it too,

Cheers

Free online billing solution for freelancers

July 15, 08 by Gabi Solomon

i dont know about you guys but i am very disorganized and i tend to forget billing my clients, or i remember they have an unpaid bill but cant remember what was it for. So i was always searching for means to organize my billing, to add bills, to keep track of what bills have not been paid, and maybe even to automatically notify my clients of their bill. Well i know there are a lot of software that can do that, but i had 2 more requirements – online and free – that prove to narrow those solutions to just a few, witch for various reason were not to my liking.

How to Cut, Copy and Paste Text online

June 30, 08 by Gabi Solomon

Thanks to a Chris Pirillo video i recently discoverd a new website that some of you could find interesting. This is Tinypaste. The ideea beside this site is to transform a big text you want to send to someone into a tiny URL.
This is similar to the tinyurl.com service just that is intended for text instead of URL’s.

The site is very simple to use, you just copy & paste your text into the textbox and pres submit and you get the URL. This should really come in handy when you have large bits of text from a document or a webpage that you want to send fast to a friend online.

Tinypaste also come with a Firefox Extension. Using the extension you can post the text from a webpage, by selecting it and click “Tinypaste selected text” from the right click menu and you will receive your link, pretty nit huh ?

Hope you find this interesting also,
Cheers.
